Tsedrang Monastery is a historic Buddhist monastery located in the Upper Mustang region of Nepal, within a designated environmental protection area. Recognized as a heritage site, the monastery has served for centuries as a spiritual, cultural, and educational center for Tibetan Buddhism in this remote Himalayan region.

The monastery is home to many young monks from isolated and economically disadvantaged families. While we strive to provide them with religious education and daily care, the harsh climate and limited resources present ongoing challenges.

Our Mission

Our mission is to preserve Buddhist teachings and cultural heritage while providing meaningful education to the next generation of monks—rooted in compassion, wisdom, and ethical values.

We believe that education is a foundation for dignity and hope, even in one of the most remote regions of the Himalayas.

Our Goal

Building New Classrooms and Dormitories

The monastery’s existing classrooms and dormitories are outdated and insufficient to withstand the region’s extreme cold. During winter, learning and daily life become especially difficult for the young monks.

Our primary goals are to:

• Construct safe and climate-appropriate classrooms that provide a stable learning environment
• Build proper dormitory facilities to offer warmth, safety, and dignity in daily living
• Ensure all construction complies with environmental protection and heritage preservation regulations

澤壤寺位於尼泊爾上木斯塘地區的環境保護區內，是一座具有數百年歷史的古蹟級佛教寺院。長久以來，寺院不僅是信仰中心，更肩負著保存藏傳佛教文化與教育僧眾的重要角色。

目前寺內收納並照顧許多來自偏遠與經濟弱勢家庭的小喇嘛。然而，受限於高寒氣候與資源匱乏，學習與生活條件仍面臨諸多挑戰。

我們的使命

我們的使命，是在尊重自然環境與文化遺產的前提下，延續佛法教育，培育具備慈悲、智慧與品格的新一代僧人。

我們深信，即使身處世界最偏遠的高原地區，每一位孩子都應擁有安全學習與穩定生活的基本條件。

我們的目標

建設新教室與宿舍

目前寺院的教室與宿舍設施老舊，難以抵禦當地嚴峻的寒冷氣候。每逢冬季，小拉嘛在學習與日常生活上都面臨極大的困難。

我們的主要目標包括：

• 興建安全且適合高寒氣候的教室，提供穩定、安心的學習環境
• 建設完善的宿舍空間，讓孩子在日常生活中擁有溫暖、安全與尊嚴
• 確保所有建設工程皆符合環境保護區與古蹟保存相關規範
